Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi is celebrating International Children’s Day with a range of concerts, exhibitions, educational activities and theatre shows in recreational parks of the city.

Children will be able to enjoy a range of programmes throughout the day, with the shows involving entertainers in the select locations, Tbilisi City Hall said.

Children’s studios have brought their artists in performances for young audiences in Vaso Godziashvili park.

Musical ensembles, including folk bands and dance troupes, have been performing at the park before a performance featuring Niko Kajaia, a participant of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and studio Ranina.
The two music shows are scheduled to conclude the events at 6pm local time.

In the popular Mziuri Park, children and their parents are being hosted by fairytale characters, artist performances and games starting at 4 pm, with the activities set to last until 8pm.

As part of children’s week dedicated to the international date, the Professional State Youth Theatre will host the International Children and Youth Theatre Festival with the support of Tbilisi Hall and the National Youth Palace.
The festival will run between Wednesday and Monday.
