Georgia's Black Sea Adjara region launches promotions to attract visitors from Baltics

The Adjara Tourism Department of Georgia's Black Sea region and the National Tourism Administration have launched business meetings and presentations to attract tourists from the Baltic states, the Government organisation announced on Wednesday. 

During a meeting in Vilnius, the Georgian side provided Lithuanian tour operators with information about the tourist products and services in Adjara and discussed planned direct flights from all three Baltic countries to the region's coastline city of Batumi.

Cooperation between the two countries and the development of joint tourism packages were also discussed during the meeting involving Salome Shapakidze, the Georgian Ambassador to Lithuania, representatives of the Latvian flag carrier airBaltic, Georgian tourism companies and large hotel chains. 

The Georgian delegation will hold its next meetings in Estonia and Latvia for the promotion of tourism destinations of the country, the Adjara Tourism Department said.
