Georgian Railway has unveiled a renovated train station that will connect passengers between cities of the country to the Kutaisi International Airport in western Georgia.

The updated Kopitnari Station will begin operating starting April 30 and serve passenger trains from different directions. The stop is located near the airport known for its cheap international flights to European countries.

The railway company will also provide transportation from the station to the airport itself, with shuttle services taking five minutes to move passengers between the locations. Georgian Railway said the train fare would include the shuttle service.

The Kopitnari Station has undergone “complete rehabilitation” with modern standards and is tailored to the needs of people with disabilities, the company said.

Tickets for train services to the stop will be available at Georgian Railway box offices, through the company's website, express payment machines and the websites of the railway partner companies.
