Students from various schools in Ninotsminda, a town in the southern Georgian region of Samtskhe-Javakheti which borders Armenia, created snow sculptures for a customary Snow Sculptures competition in this year's edition on Thursday.

The young creatives and their teachers modelled “unprecedented sculptures at the scheduled time,” Ninotsminda City Hall said in its summary of the event.

A total of five sculptures “equally assessed with high prizes” were presented by the jury of the contest, with a shape in the form of doves - symbolising universal peace - receiving the public’s special approval. Photo: Ninotsminda City Hall
