Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE Ann Linde has tweeted earlier today that she ‘regrets’ that political parties in Georgia have not reached an agreement to end the ‘current impasse’.
Regret that the political parties in Georgia have not reached an agreement to end the current impasse. We call for reflection guided by the interests of the country and its people. A solution is needed to strengthen Georgia’s democracy, development and European integration.

EU mediator Christian Danielsson who arrived in Georgia twice has called on all parties to agree on a compromise.

EU-backed mediation effort between the ruling party and opposition started during the European Council President Charles Michel's visit to Georgia in early March.
Michel later mandated Danielsson to lead the mediation effort in Georgia to help the parties come to an agreement amid the current political deadlock, but yet in vain.
