Georgia has started exporting white flower bulbs to several countries of the EU and especially to Holland after the National Environment Agency issued a license to use white flower bulbs for a period of three years, announces the agency.
According to the license, the quota of white flower bulbs will be fully utilised and exported, which will help increase the country's export capacity and employment of local people", reads the press-release published by the agency.
The white flower bulb is included in the annexes to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), which is an international agreement between governments. Its aim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten the survival of the species.
