Georgia reports 4,459 new cases of coronavirus, 3,957 recoveries, 65 deaths

Georgia has reported 4,459 new cases of coronavirus, 3,957 recoveries and 65 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Overall 45,799 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.
A total of, 51,321 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 32,187 of the 51,321 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 19,134 were PCR tests.
850,102 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.
A total of 792,158 of the 850,102 patients have recovered, while 12,119 have died from the virus.
The positivity rate of the last 14 days stands at 8.91%.

- Adjara - 186 cases
- Imereti - 843 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 257 cases
- Shida Kartli - 349 cases
- Guria - 136 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 358 cases
- Kakheti - 260 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 128 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 171 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 31 cases

38,129 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.
41,760 individuals are in self-isolation.
Overall, 1,165,835 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, while 1,001,801 people have been fully vaccinated.
Georgia is expecting to receive special PCR tests from international partners to diagnose the new Omicron variant of coronavirus which was detected in South Africa last month and was classified as a ‘variant of concern’ by the World Health Organization (WHO), Head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze stated earlier today.
A total of 51,757 Georgian citizens over the age of 60 have received the vaccine against Covid-19 following the announcement of the Georgian government’s incentive program on November 8 which provides pensioners with a 200 GEL pension bonus, news agency Interpressnews (IPN) reports.
Georgia has reported 5,050 new cases of coronavirus, 4,214 recoveries and 80 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate in the country stands at 8.96% as of November 30 in the last 14 days. Overall 45,362 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

Georgia may issue two types of COVID passes for internal and foreign use due to the government’s decision to give the passes to the individuals who have recovered from the virus, no matter when the recovery took place, head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze stated earlier today.
