Georgian film ‘Otar's Death’ wins Fedeora award at Karlovy Vary Film festival

Georgian film Otar's Death, a 'well-crafted drama with a multilayered narrative about two families brought together by a misfortunate event', has won the Fedeora award  at the 2021 Karlovy International Film Festival on Saturday evening in Czechia. 

This feature is a joint project of Georgia, Germany and Lithuania and focuses on mother-son relationships and aspirations for a better future.

Georgian Soso Bliadze is the director of the film, while Iva Kimeridze, Nutsa Kukhianidze, Eka Chavleishvili, Vakho Chachanidze, Archil Makalatia, Marlen Egutia, Nanka Kalatozishvili and Davit Roinishvili play the main roles.

The cameraman is Dimitri Dekanosidze.

Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is a major cinema event of Central and Eastern Europe.
