Presidents, ministers of foreign affairs, ambassadors and international society have been congratulating Georgia on its Independence Day today.
The Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Elizabeth II has congratulated Georgia on its 30th anniversary of Independence from the Soviet Union and sent 'best wishes to the people of Georgia'.

The Chairman of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the Italian Parliament, Piero Fassino, congratulated the Georgian people and the Georgian government on Independence Day, noting that Italy and Georgia have a close partnership in the fields of economy, politics and culture and these relations should be further deepened.

President of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation, Andreas Aebi, said in his congratulatory video that the friendship between Georgia and Switzerland has a long history.
Almost 200 years ago, the Swiss researcher Frederic Dubois first traveled to Georgia. He, like many other Swiss, was very impressed by the landscape of Georgia and the beauty of the picturesque mountains. The first Swiss community in Georgia was founded 160 years ago in the vicinity of Tbilisi, its members were teachers, clergy, businessmen and also farmers. It is known that the Swiss people started the factory production of cheese in Georgia", Aebi said.
He added that Switzerland 'pays great importance to the role of mediator between Russia and Georgia'.
