Covid-19: 1,089 new cases, 1,489 recoveries, 18 deaths

Georgia has reported a total of 1,089 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting 18,662 tests over the last 24 hours.
Out of the 1,089 new cases 607 were reported in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
Other cases were reported in:

- Adjara - 102
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 83
- Kvemo Kartli - 82
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 25
- Shida Kartli - 24
- Kakheti - 23
- Guria - 22
- Samtskhe-Javakjeti - 7
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 6
Meanwhile, 1,489 individuals have recovered from the coronavirus in Georgia and 18 infected patients have died.
As of now the number of total confirmed cases of Covid-19 stands at 321,919, including 300,989 recoveries and 4,281 deaths. Currently, 16,623 people remain infected in Georgia.
Georgia has reported 1,564 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting a total of 27,384 tests over the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 693 individuals have recovered from coronavirus in Georgia while 18 patients have died.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has approved the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine for emergency use in all countries, giving the green light for this vaccine to be rolled out globally, including in Georgia.
Large-scale Covid vaccination sites will be set up in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi and Batumi, where up to 2,000 people will be vaccinated against Covid-19 per day, Head of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze announced earlier today.

Georgia has reported 549 new cases of coronavirus, 1,439 recoveries and 24 deaths in the past 24 hours. 9,535 tests have been conducted around the country on the weekend. 5,665 of the 9,535 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 3,870 were PCR tests. The country has had 322,468 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 6.03 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
