Eleventh individual recovers from COVID-19 in Georgia

The eleventh individual has recovered from the new coronavirus in Georgia out of the 79 confirmed cases.
A month after February 26 when the first individual had tested positive for COVID-19 in Georgia, the country has a total of 66 infected people.
Based on the new webpage www.stopcov.ge, which aims to inform the population of the spread of the virus and its prevention, 4,428 people remain in quarantine, while 257 individuals are under the medical observation in hospitals.
Meanwhile, two eastern Georgian municipalities of Bolnisi and Marneuli, which have the highest risk of spreading the virus, also remain in quarantine.
Georgian start-up Doctor Goods has produced 40,000 medical gowns in a week to address the COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, Georgia has 79 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, including eleven individuals who have recovered.
Dozens of Georgian citizens have been provided with temporary accommodation and basic needs in France and Spain by the Georgian Embassies to these countries, says the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dozens have gathered in Zugdidi,in western Georgia, to receive facemasks and hand sanitizer gifted by Saakashvili’s Presidential Library, despite the state of emergency in the country which bans more than 10 individuals standing together.
Rapid coronavirus tests will be used for people in high risk groups and who display symptoms after testing is carried out in Marneuli and Bolnisi, two regions in eastern Georgia under lockdown.
Thirteen individuals have recovered from coronavirus in Georgia. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 81 confirmed cases of the virus. Two were foreign citizens who left the country earlier this month via a charter flight. As of now there are 66 patients in the country infected with the virus, including several minors. The health condition of all minors is stable.
The number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus have reached 148 in Georgia, including the 27 patients who have recovered. As of now there are 119 individuals inside the country who are infected with the virus (two of the 148 were foreign citizens who are no longer in the country). 5,392 are under quarantine and 319 others in hospitals in the country.
