Documentary on Georgian footballer brothers wins top prize of Milan Film Festival

Georgian film director Gogi Toradze’s film about Georgian footballer brothers titled ‘Trio of Georgian Soccer’ has become the winner of the Milan Film Festival.

The movie tells the story of three Georgian footballer brothers, Revaz, Shota, and Archil Arveladze, who are distinguished worldwide because all three played in the national football team at the same time.

Revaz, Shota and Archil Arveladze played 104 matches on the national football team.

Shota Arveladze is Georgia’s all-time top scorer with 291 goals in his 410 league games for his clubs and 26 goals in his 61 games for the national team.

Among 123 movies, Toradze’s 24-minute documentary was named ‘the best short TV movie about football’.

Gogi Toradze is the recipient of various film festivals, such as Documentary Film Festival of Italy and Milan Film Festival.
