Georgia reports 9 new new cases of coronavirus, all imported

Georgia has reported nine new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 995. 

857 of the 995 patients have recovered, while 15 others have died. 

As of today 123 people remain infected with COVID-19 in the country.

All of the nine new cases are imported-five of the nine new patients are truck drivers. 

28 Georgian soldiers tested positive for the coronavirus in Afghanistan last week and they are now undergoing treatment in Gori hospital of central Georgia. 

Georgia reported its first case of the coronavirus on February 26, 2020.

Since then more than 142,000 people have been tested for the coronavirus inside the country. 

More than 13 million people have been infected with COVID-19 worldwide so far.
