Austrian Minister of Health, Rudolf Anschober: Georgia manages to control the virus well

Austrian Minister of Health Rudolf Anschober said that Georgia manages to control the coronavirus well.

Georgian Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze held an online meeting with Rusolf Anschober to share the experiences in connection with COVID-19 and discuss the challenges regarding the virus.

Anschober said that Georgia and Austria have very similar approaches to fight against the virus.

As for now, the restrictions have been gradually lifted in Austria. I know that the same process is ongoing in Georgia too. We are overcoming the crisis and gradually, schools started to resume lessons. We will gradually open restaurants and hotels too”, said Anschober.

Anschober also mentioned that Austria, like Georgia prefers rapid polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing .

As of today, 347 people remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia. 

5,085 people are under quarantine and 558 others in hospitals.
