The study process will not be resumed at schools until September 1, however, distance learning will continue in Georgia.

Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said that the government plans to hold a separate presentation on education issues.

The Ministry of Education has managed to deal effectively with the distance learning methods in schools and universities, so we can confidently say that the academic year will not be declared in Georgia. Unified National Examinations will be held, there may be some delays”, said Gakharia.

All schools and high educational institutions have had to remain closed in Georgia since the end of March as a measure to prevent the spread of new coronavirus.
