Georgia says that it does not recognise the recently held elections in Nagorno Karabakh, a disputed region between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and has expressed its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia reaffirms its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the republic of Azerbaijan and does not recognise the so called presidential and parliamentary elections held on March 31, 2020 in Nagorno Karabakh,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry said earlier today.
The ministry said that Georgia supports the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict in line with international law.
