Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who has visited Germany, has met with President Frank Walter Steinmeier and stated that it is important for Georgia to have a friend like Germany in the heart of Europe.
Germany and France will support Georgia to become a full member of the European family soon,” Zurabishvili said.

Zurabishvili spoke about Germany’s role in Georgia’s European integration, as Germany is an influential international player, the president’s press office says.
Zurabishvili expressed her hope that a new page will open in Georgian-German relations after her visit,” the press office said.
Zurabishvili, the fifth president of Georgia, visited Germany after Belgium and France.
