The US Deputy State Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Andrea Thompson says that Georgia continues to be a close partner of the US in regional stability and defence cooperation.

She made the statement yesterday, after her meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani in Washington.
Zalkaliani and Thompson praised the strategic cooperation between Georgia and the US and stated that the relations between the countries are at an all-time high,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.
Zalkaliani has met with top US officials and legislators during his trip to the US.
He was invited there by the US State Secretary Mile Pompeo to participate in the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.
