The Georgian Chief Prosecutor’s Office has charged member of Tbilisi City Assembly from the Georgian Dream ruling party Ilia Jishkariani with sexual and physical abuse of his female employee Tamta Todadze.
Todadze says that Jishkariani, who was under the influence of alcohol on September 30, tried to have sex with her and after being refused beat her and broke things in their Isani office, on the outskirts of Tbilisi.
Jishkariani, who is now being treated at New Hospitals in Tbilisi for heart-related problems does not admit to the charge, his lawyer Mariam Kublashvili says.
Kublashvili stated that they have evidence that “Jishkariani, not Todadze, is the victim.”
Sapari NGO, which provides legal service for Todadze, also points at “serious evidence” they have against Jishkariani.
