Four individuals have been detained for ‘membership in the criminal underworld’ and contacting so-called criminal bosses to settle a financial dispute.
Two men, one with a previous criminal record, had been mediating between so-called criminal bosses and two business partners that were having a financial dispute.
They have been charged with membership in the criminal underworld, while the other two are business partners who have been charged with appealing to the criminal underworld for help in resolving a conflict.
The crime is punishable by three to 10 years in prison. Police have seized $87,000 from the apartment of one of the detainees,” the Interior Ministry has reported.
The ministry said that so called criminal bosses living in Turkey, Jeyran Kintsurashvili and in Russia Eduard Astrian were involved in “settling a dispute in 2018.”
