Ex-PM Ivanishvili unanimously elected as a head of ruling party political council

The former Prime Minister of Georgia, founder of the current ruling Georgian Dream party Bidzina Ivanishvili has been unanimously elected as the new head of the Georgian Dream Political Council today, about a week Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili announced Ivanishvili intended to re-enter politics.
The Georgian Dream political council has been recomposed and its members decreased from 21 to 15.
Now the council is composed of:
- Bidzina Ivanishvili.
- Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
- Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze.
- First Vice-Parliament Speaker Tamar Chugoshvili.
- Vice Speaker Giorgi Volski.
- Lawmaker Ilia Nakashidze.
- Parliamentary majority leader Archil Talakvadze.
- Head of the Georgian Dream fraction Mamuka Mdinaradze.
- Lawmaker Dimitri Samkharadze.
- Lawmaker Bidzina Gegidze.
- Lawmaker Irakli Tripolski.
- Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure ,Maia Tskitishvili.
- Minister of Refugees Sozar Subari.
- Head of the Partnership Fund David Saganelidze.
- Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
Ivanishvili quit politics in November 2013, after the Georgian Dream coalition created by him defeated the nine-year rule of the United National Movement government in October 2012.
Former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili is going to become the chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party again. Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili announced changes in the ruling party management today at the briefing.
He said, Bidzina Ivanishvili’s decision will have a positive influence on the country’s political life and will serve as a new stimulus for the party.
