An innovative web-platform, Budget Monitor, developed by Georgia’s State Audit Office is one of the winners of the World Summit Awards 2017 and the recipient of a certificate and special prize.

Held in Vienna, Austria, the World Summit Awards 2017 revealed the Budget Monitor web-platform winner in the "Government and Citizen Engagement” category. The Budget Monitor was praised as "one of the world’s best innovative digital inventions”.

Budget Monitor is a unique citizen engagement web-platform of State Audit Office of Georgia, which provides comprehensive analytical information about public finances, designed from an auditor’s perspective. Budget Monitor presents key budgetary information and the results of State Audit Office conducted audits in an easy-to-interpret way using various data visualization tools, thus raising public awareness about how budget money is spent.
