Georgia’s monthly inflation amounted to 0.1 percent in April, while annual inflation increased 6.1 percent, reports the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Last month prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased 1.4 percent and contributed 0.42 percentage points to the overall Consumer Price Index (annual inflation) change.
The prices were higher for the following subgroups:
Meanwhile, prices decreased for oils and fats (-0.9 percent) and fish (-0.6 percent), said Geostat.
Transport-related costs were 1.7 percent lower contributing -0.23 percentage points to the monthly inflation.
