Georgia’s international and rural airports will host different exhibitions of talented artists in order to create an impressive first impression to all visitors of the country.
Art from Georgia is a new initiative of Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, which aims to popularise Georgian culture and at the same time create a pleasant environment for arriving visitors.

The first exhibition of this kind was held today in Georgia’s brand new modern Ambrolauri Airport, which opened in the remote Racha region in the west of Georgia this year.
From today the airport in Ambrolauri, a town in Racha, will host a sculpture exhibition of local Zaur Gamkrelidze, 18, for one month.

As Gamkrelidze said he started sculpting with plasticine at the age of 14 and he had his first exhibition of sculptures in 2013.
As reported the initiative Art from Georgia will further expand and the next exhibition will be held at Kutaisi International Airport in January 2018.
