Environmental agency says lead content in air reduced

Georgia’s National Environmental Agency says lead concentration in the air, which is dangerous for human health, has been significantly decreased in three main cities of Georgia out of four.

The Agency says compared to the situation in 2015 the lead concentration in air has been decreased five times in capital Tbilisi, three times in the seaside Batumi city and two times in eastern Rustavi city.

The content is slightly decreased in western Kutaisi city.  

The maximum allowable concentration of lead in air is 0, 0003 mg / m³.
