Georgia and Serbia are willing to deepen their trade and economic cooperation, and the governments of the two countries will sign an agreement to this end.
This topic was discussed as Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze met with newly-elected President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic. Janelidze will also attend Vucic’ inauguration ceremony later today.

At the meeting, the parties stressed the importance of intensifying political relations. The pair agreed that Georgia-Serbia political dialogue, and relations between the parliaments of the two states, will intensify.
The sides also stressed the necessity of mutually lifting visa requirements for each other’s’ citizens and to launch direct Tbilisi-Belgrade flights.
The sides agreed that Janelidze will return to Serbia soon, for an official visit.
