University entrants in Georgia's regions will be able to improve their Georgian language skills and prepare for university entrance exams via free televised lessons.
Free-to-view television channels will broadcast 24 lessons in Georgian language and literature within a new project aiming to reach viewers in remote areas of the country.
The broadcast was designed to become an alternative means of study for university entrants unable to afford private teachers as they prepared for entry exams.

The lessons will air twice a week and include homework assignments.
The initiative was established by a group of non-governmental organisations and agencies seeking to reach regional residents, with special focus on areas with non-Georgian language groups.
To turn the idea into reality, the Georgian Association of Regional Broadcasters (GARB) teamed up with the Village of the Future non-governmental organisation and advertisement agency Regionmediamarket.
The video lessons were created by Village of the Future and will be broadcast via regional channels in the GARB network.
