Georgia is extremely saddened and offering its sincere condolences to the people of Germany after a deadly shooting in Munich which left nine people dead and 16 others injured.
Georgian leaders expressed solidarity with Germany and strongly condemned yesterday's attack, where a lone gunman went on a rampage in a shopping centre and then went on to kill himself.
President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili expressed his grief and shared this message on his official Twitter account last night:
I am deeply outraged about dreadful terrorist act in #Munich that took lives. Our thoughts&prayers are with the victims and their families.

Meanwhile Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili also expressed his deep sadness about the tragedy:

Georgia's Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze tweeted:

Georgia’s Foreign Ministry published a hotline number for Georgian citizens who need assistance or information following shooting in Munich.
In Munich, German police recommended people to avoid public places.
