Georgia has started exporting its unique mineral water to one of world’s largest consumer markets.

This month Georgian company Sairme Mineral Waters exported 240,000 bottles of its own branded mineral water to Saudi Arabia – a market of more than 32 million consumers.

The Georgian-branded mineral water was being imported to the Middle Eastern nation through a partnership between Sairme Mineral Waters and local trading partner Amlak Trading Est.

The Georgian Embassy to Saudi Arabia also supported the sales of Georgian products in Saudi Arabia and planned a number of initiatives to support this further.

As a way to raise awareness of the Georgian product in the Arab nation, Sairme mineral water was given to diplomatic corps, and large local and foreign companies in Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia to introduce people to the product.

Over recent years Sairme Mineral Waters has increased the geographical area of its operations and strengthened its market position in Georgia and in export markets.

As of today the company exported water to 17 countries including four new markets added last year: Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Israel.

Sairme Mineral Waters planned to expand its reach to markets in Europe, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Iran this year.
