Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia Zurab Aleksidze is paying an official visit to Singapore today.
Aleksidze, who is based in Malaysia, has already participated in an annual meeting organised for accredited Ambassadors by the President of Singapore, Tony Tan Keng Yam.
During the event the Georgian Ambassador met Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Foreign Minister Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam and Minister of Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang.
At the meetings the sides focused on bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues.
In addition, Aleksidze met the chairman of the Singapore Tourism Board Chew Choon Seng and discussed the prospects of better promoting Georgia’s tourism potential in Singapore.
From his side, Seng expressed desire to establish a business relationship with the Georgian Agency of Technology and Innovation.
