Georgia will soon have one more destination for tourists to visit - a new large-scale tourist complex is planned to be built in the country's south.

The project worth $30 million USD will be implemented in Gardabani, 39km south of Georgia's capital Tbilisi. The new complex is earmarked to be built on Mount Ialguja and will include 200 hotel rooms, eight cottages and a medical facility.

Official information noted the financial side of the project would be covered by private investor Temur Tabagari. He purchased 70, 000 sqm of non-agricultural land from the state for 525,000 GEL.

The project was set to be completed in two years. About 130 people will be employed in the construction of the new facility, Tabagari said.
