Georgia to celebrate all things French

For the month of March, all things French will be celebrated in Georgia.

Officials have announced March as the month of 'Francophonie', where French culture and language is recognised and celebrated across the country.

Within the French celebration month, French writer Jean Rouaud, laureate of Goncourt Literary Prize and Swiss writer Anca Visdei will visit in Georgia. French movies will also be screened in Georgia’s cinemas.

Moreover, a concert by Carousel of Switzerland was planned in Tbilisi and Kutaisi, a city in western Georgia.

The month-long celebration is being organised by the Embassy of France, the French Institute of Georgia, and the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation, with schools and universities in Georgia.
