Tbilisi Mayor meets local business community

Tbilisi Mayor David Narmania has met with representatives of the local business community and presented them with a report that summed up the previous year and at the same time announced the local government's plans for 2015 and further ahead. 

A group of 75 representatives from the local business sector attended yesterday's meeting, where they had the opportunity to ask questions directly to the Mayor.

At the meeting Narmania and the group discussed investment projects set to be implemented in 2015 and other interesting initiatives for the business sector.

"The main objectives of Tbilisi City Hall is to simplify administrative procedures and reduce bureaucracy," Narmania said.

He emphasized Tbilisi City Hall would soon announce numerous tenders in various fields in which local businesses can take part. He noted the local government would assist companies interested in participating in the various upcoming investment plans. 

Yesterday's meeting was organised by the Georgian Employers Association, who arrange a series of meeting named Business Dialogue with the government. The meetings aimed to strengthen links between local businesses and the government.
