Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has sent greeting to the government and the people of Serbia as the country celebrates the anniversary of its statehood.
Garibashvili sent a congratulatory letter to his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic to mark Serbia’s National Day, which is celebrated annually on February 15 and 16 – the anniversary of the First Serbian Uprising in 1804 and the first Serbian Constitution in 1835.
"On behalf of the Government of Georgia and that of my own, let me express my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Serbia,” Garibashvili wrote.
"I remain confident that the friendly relations between Georgia and the Republic of Serbia will be further strengthened and developed in the years ahead and the cooperation between our countries will enhance to the mutual benefit of our people.”
"Excellency, allow me to renew the assurances of my highest consideration and wish you every success in your significant endeavours, as well as peace, prosperity and welfare to the friendly people of Serbia,” Garibashvili said.
