Real "Wolf of Wall Street" coming to Georgia

Hundreds in Tbilisi will soon have an opportunity to learn how to "ethically persuade people” when the real "Wolf of Wall Street" Jordan Belfort comes to Georgia to give a master class.

Belfort, an American author, motivational speaker and former stockbroker whose life was the basis of Martin Scorsese's 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street, will speak at the Tbilisi Concert Hall on November 28.

The speech will be part of Straight Line Persuasion, Belfort’s program on how to be a successful salesperson using "ethical persuasion."

The event organisers said students would have a possibility to buy tickets to Belfort’s live show at a discounted price.

Some interesting facts about Belfort included him making more than $50 million USD per year in his mid-twenties, having over 1,000 stockbrokers working for him, all trained in his sales techniques, raising over $1.5 billion in venture capital, kickstarting multiple companies from scratch, holding controlling stakes in more than 30 of them and acting as a consultant to more than 50 public companies.

He published a memoir, The Wolf of Wall Street, which was adapted into the film, starred by Leonardo DiCaprio as Belfort.
