Government approves $180m GEL for regional infrastructure projects

Reconstructing roads, upgrading the countrys water supply and improving the sewage system are some of the projects the Government has approved for 2014.
Works to develop playgrounds, hiking trails and rehabilitate kindergartens in the regions have also been approved by the Georgian Government.
The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure will allocate 180 million GEL towards these development projects.
In addition, 135 million GEL has already been allocated to be spent on 430 project developments.
The development works will begin in nine regions from this spring.
