Georgian parliamentary delegation to visit Estonia

A parliamentary delegation led by Speaker David Usupashvili, will visit Estonia this month and meet with the countrys leaders.

Methods to strengthen the relationship between Georgia and Estonia will be discussed during the visit.    

A statement by the parliaments press office revealed the Georgian group were expected to meet Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, parliamentary speaker Ene Ergma, Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and Foreign Affairs Minister Urmas Paet.

At the bilateral meetings, the parties will discuss prospects of deepening Georgian-Estonian relations at inter-parliamentary level, in economic and cultural fields. Special attention will be paid to the foreign policy priorities, reads a statement by the Georgian parliament press service.  

In Estonia, Usupashvili is set to deliver a speech to experts, diplomats, MPs and students at the Eastern Partnership Estonian Center.  

"For the Georgian Government and Georgian people, a positive relationship with the Baltic States associates primarily with European integration. This is why the Speaker of Parliamentary recently visited Lithuania and Latvia, and now continues his visit to Estonia, said the press service.

Usupashvili will be accompanied on the trip to Estonia by MPs Tedo Japaridze, Viktor Dolidze, Levan Bezhashvili and Guram Misabashvili.
