Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili will pay the first official visit in 2014 to Turkey. According to the Presidents press office, Margvelashvili will travel to Ankara on January 20.
There, the Georgian President is expected to meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and the countrys Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
A meeting between Margvelashvili and the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament (Grand National Assembly of Turkey), Cemil Cicek, is also planned to take place.
The official agenda also included a visit to the Ataturk Mausoleum where it is believed Margvelashvili will lay a wreath on the grave of the first president of Turkey.
A joint press conference led by the Georgian and Turkish presidents is planned to take place in Ankara.
