Georgia won’t digress from European way

Georgia’s President has confirmed the country will not be pressured to digress from its European integration dreams.

"Georgia’s European choice will never be revised,” President Giorgi Margvelashvili claimed in his opening speech in Parliament today.

"This choice was made by our ancestors and we very firmly stand behind this path,” he claimed.

The President’s statement was followed by applause in the meeting room.
