Free Democrats party celebrate anniversary

Our Georgia – Free Democrats party chaired by Defense Minister Irakli Alasania is celebrating its fifth anniversary today. 

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili congratulated the party and its success today.  

"Free Democrats party has made an outstanding contribution to the success which we have achieved in Euro-Atlantic integration,” Garibashvili said. 

He thanked party representatives for their contribution and hard work. 

"Five years ago when Saakashvili’s regime was reaching its peak of brutality you dared to distance yourself from the government. Your appearance raised expectations of change in the society for that time,” Garibashvili addressed the guests at a celebration today. 

"This happened mainly because of the fact that the team that brought together people, who refused to cooperate with the government and hold honorary positions, and raised the country’s interests above everything.”  

The Prime Minister also mentioned his political team, Georgian Dream, was very proud to built an ‘European type country’ with the Free Democrats, and the two political powers served the most difficult and responsible job - to build the country’s democratic development.
