Georgian servicemen wounded in the line of duty will be able to spend their recovery time with greater excitement after being given special gifts when the President of Georgia visited them at the Tserovani Rehabilitation Centre.
Giorgi Margvelashvili visited the medical facility today and gifted the wounded servicemen with portable laptop computers.
He also spoke with the service personnel and discussed their living conditions.
"It is very important for the country to always take care of these people and appreciate their heroism,” Margvelashvili said.
Currently there are ten military men undergoing treatment at the Centre. Children of the wounded men were also given gifts from the Defence Ministry today.
The recruits have been undergoing treatment at the Tserovani Rehabilitation Centre since January 9 after they were wounded during military operations or while they performed peacekeeping missions. The facility is also open to members of their families who need treatment.
The medical centre recently opened at the former residence of the Georgian President in Tserovani (Shida Kartli region), which was transferred to the Defence Ministry.
Patients are treated under constant supervision of staff from a medical Battalion.
