European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule will visit Georgia on March 3, 2014.
Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Maia Panjikidze announced Fule would attend the Batumi Conference.
In addition, a separate conference is planned to be held in Brussels, which will be dedicated to Georgia’s rapprochement with the European Union.
The conference will help preparation Georgia to sign the Association Agreement, Panjikidze said.
Meanwhile Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Fule in Brussels yesterday, February 3. The pair talked about the Georgian reforms and direction of the country, the PM’s press office said.
At the meeting, the sides expressed hope that the AA would be signed no later than August 2014, the statement said.
