One of the world’s leading universities has expressed a desire to promote Georgia’s unique culture to its thousands of students.
Talks between Harvard University and Georgian officials are in action, with three University representatives currently in Georgia to negotiate the possibility of opening a Georgian Studies Centre at the Ivy League university, which teaches about 21,000 students.
Harvard University Professors Steven Jones, Terry Martin and Timothy Colton have already met Georgia’s Minister of Finance Nodar Khaduri to introduce their idea of founding a Georgian Studies Centre at the University.
Khaduri believed the Georgian Studies Centre will provide the University’s students, professors and researchers with wide information about Georgia and the Caucasus Region.
The Centre would also give Georgian students and professors the possibility to enhance relations with the US and the staff and students of Harvard University.
Minister Khaduri believed Georgia’s Ministry of Finance will soon find necessary financial resources to launch the Centre.
