Armwrestling: Georgian athlete becomes World Champion

A Georgian sportsman has won two medals at the World Armwrestling Championship for Disabled 2014 in Poland.

Besik Lekiashvili (-80kg) gained a gold medal when wrestling with his right hand, while he received silver for competing with his left hand.

The Armwrestling World Championship event for physically challenged athletes was organised by the International Armsport Federation for Disabled and held from October 7-12.

During his sporting career, Lekiashvili has won a number of international awards.
