A Georgian promotional tourist company’s innovative creation is making it easier for Georgia’s travellers to safely discover the world – and all you need is a mobile device.

Tourism Geo-Informational Center created a mobile app, called TravelGIS that will allow travellers to easily select sightseeing tours in Georgia and further afar.

The app allows the traveller to embark on virtual travel, where they can follow a virtual route and get detailed information about tourist hot-spots.

During the virtual trip the traveller is able to place their position on a map, follow a pre-planned route and avoid the possibility of getting lost.

To make the app more accessible, it is available in three languages - Georgian, English and Russian. The application is free and can be downloaded on the Play Store for Android mobiles and the App Store for iPhones.

Creators of the app believed their creation was the most contemporary and innovative information-communicative means to advertise tourist resources within any potential country in the world, as well as global tourist companies and their tours.
