President Giorgi Margvelashvili hosted an ''interesting'' meeting with non-governmental organisations where conversations flowed freely between the parties.
"It was a very interesting meeting. We discussed various interesting issues,” Margvlashvili said.
"They also deepened my knowledge about several topics. I think these kind of meetings give every politician a greater ability to have closer relationships with society and be involved in ongoing issues within the public sector.”
The meeting between the President and several non-governmental organisations was held today, January 23.
The sides discussed human rights, ecological problems and Georgia's pre-election environment.
Executive Director of "Transparency International Georgia” Eka Gigauri emphasized that the format of the meeting with the President was free and interesting.
"It was a free discussion and we discussed many topics. It was a constructive and friendly talk. We were allowed to be utterly free in our opinions’ and expressions,” Gigauri said.
