Georgia’s Premier will speak at UN General Assembly

The head of the Georgian Government has been invited to America to speak at the 69th United Nations General Assembly.

The head of the Georgian Government has been invited to America to speak at the 69th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will visit New York on September 22. There, he will deliver a speech at the 69th UNGA on September 26.

Within the event Garibashvili will participate in a special discussion about Georgia’s action plan about population and development with international conference attendees.

As well this Garibashvili will attend joint meetings with United States officials. A face-to-face meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon was already planned.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s Prime Minister is also set to attend a summit on climate change and a plenary meeting, titled "World Conference on Indigenous People".

The Prime Minister's wife was invited to attend a conference for First Ladies all over the world, titled "First Ladies' Global Call to Action Conference on Women and Girls' Financial Health".

Within his New York visit, PM Garibashvili will also speak at the opening ceremony of the Georgian Film Festival at the Contemporary Art Museum.
