The de facto President of the Georgian breakaway Tskhinvali region has dissolved the de facto government.
Leonid Tibilov said the Government had failed to accomplish the goals of socio-economic development and consolidate, according to a Russian media report today.
In the meantime, Domenti Kulumbegov has become the Acting de facto Prime Minister. He has held the position of de facto Vice-Premier before.
South Ossetian and Russian forces gained full de facto control of the Tskhinvali region after the 2008 Russian-Georgian war. Five countries - Russia, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Nauru and Tuvalu - recognised South Ossetias independence. However Georgia and the rest of the international community do not consider the existence of South Ossetia as a political entity. They consider Tskhinvali region to be occupied by the Russian army.
