United State of America will grant Georgia $62 million USD financial aid this year, the Foreign Ministry of Georgia reports.

On January 15, the US House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly 359 to 67 to approve a $1.1 trillion spending bill for the current fiscal year, which outlines the allocation of financial resources for the Eastern Partnership countries including Georgia.

The Bill, which funds thousands of government programmes, also passed on a strong, 72-26 bipartisan vote of the US Senate.

In Georgia, the money will be spent on accomplishing the Associate Agreement, Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement and Visa Liberelization Action Plan with EU.

The Bill also reads that the US State Secretary will present a report to the Congress Budget Committee about the support works carried out by the US Government in restoring Georgias territorial integrity.

Moreover, the Bill includes the US State Secretary John Kerry to issue the report about the Russias pressure on the Eastern Partnership countries that hamper these countries integration to EU.

The nearly 1,600-page Bill includes all 12 of the individual annual spending bills that cover all of the discretionary spending of the federal government, except what it is mandated to spend on permanent programs like Social Security and Medicare.
