Georgia’s Foreign Minister pays working visit to USA

Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs is on a whirlwind trip to the United States of America to discuss Georgia’s progress and enhance Georgia’s relationships with United Nations (UN) member states.

Minister Maia Panjikidze began her four-day working visit today and will return to Georgia on May 30.

In America, Panjikidze’s official schedule noted the Minister would meet various UN representatives and discuss a wide range of acute issues facing Georgia as well as future prospects and possibilities to broaden relationships.

She will update the UN member states on Georgia’s progress, future priorities and reforms recently passed in the country.

In the US, Foreign Minister Panjikidze will also meet US Permanent Representative to the United Nations Samantha Power.

The official schedule said the Georgian Minister was also expected to attend two festive reception ceremonies dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day in New York and Washington.
